The Black Rock Community was established as an exclusive, private gated residential community with 24-hour manned security gates. Privacy, security, and safety were and still are very important
considerations for owners in choosing to purchase and establish their residences in Black Rock.
The responsible party for the community is the Black Rock Community Association and its Board of
Directors.
The Golf Club at Black Rock (GC) was established as a private, members only club with significant
restrictions relative to who might become a member and with exclusive play rights on the Black Rock golf course. Since the club and golf course are private, and located within the Black Rock community, which itself is a private, guard gated community, maintaining property owners' rights of privacy, security, and safety access becomes a cooperative effort.
Each purchaser of a residence or homesite in the Community may apply for a Golf Membership or a Social Membership in The Golf Club at Black Rock (the "Club") upon execution of his or her purchase agreement for said residence or homesite. If a membership is not applied for upon execution of the Purchase Agreement, the purchaser may apply for membership at a later date only if one is available and not otherwise reserved by the Club, and only upon payment of the Membership Fee which is in effect at the time the membership is acquired. The number of memberships in each category is limited and available memberships in each category will generally be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Ownership of a residence or homesite does not give any vested right or easement, prescriptive or otherwise, to use the Club facilities, or to acquire a membership in the Club and does not grant any ownership or membership interest in the Club or the Club facilities.
